How often should you Antifoul your boat?
Most Antifouling paint has a service life of about 12 months.
We recommend regularly antifouling you hull roughly every 12 months, and prior to long trips have one of our divers perform a hull scraping/cleaning while in berth. This regular antifouling will insure a constant efficiency and performance service life of the vessel.
A regular antifouling service and lift also allows us to perform other checkups and inspections required at roughly the same interval, IE inspections of all underwater fittings such as skin fittings, shaft bearings, pods, rudder bearings and allows us to replace anodes should they not be able to outlast the next 12 months of in water service.
